Since 1996 Cheri LaVelle has been Rapid City’s signature designer of one of a kind designs that inspire and delight. Always striving to give her customers more. Cheri LaVelle also provides the gift shop inside of Monument Health with fresh flower designs that give comfort and hope to patients during difficult times. She considers designing fresh flowers for patients as another way to share her talent and give the hospital a way to earn money for improvements at the same time.
Our Philosophy
At the heart of our studio practice is a love of the shape and form of flowers, combined with a creative edge. We’re passionate about celebrating nature in our installations and working with seasonal flowers and foliage helps us to keep within nature’s own cycle. We are, and always have been, committed to finding ethical, sustainable solutions to the challenges within our industry. through flowers, we are continually looking at ways to reduce our carbon footprint and benefit the local community. We are now able to make our local deliveries using our 2026 Tesla! Our totally electric Tesla allows us to continue offering our customers free local delivery.
Our Approach
At Bliss Fleurs, our passion for flowers starts early – around 4am to be exact – when we begin our day designing for the hospital gift shop at Monument Health and for our local customers who have placed their orders either by phone or via out websites. Don’t be afraid to send us a text message! We are awake most mornings working on designs in our beautiful studio. We are in total “Bliss”!

The Owner
With over 3 decade’s experience in floral design, Cheri LaVelle is one of Rapid City’s most respected florists. In 2021 she re-entered the floral industry to reflect her own intimate and artistic approach. Born and raised in the south, she believes a southern woman’s garden is also her sanctuary and could not imagine not working from her studio where she can often be found cutting fresh flowers and foliage to use in her bouquets. It’s this balance, between growing her own flowers and shipping the flower farms from all over the world that allows her the variety of seasonal flowers that defines Cheri LaVelle’s own individual style.
Drawing on her love of color and texture, she combines romance and wildness in rich, generous compositions that are both thoughtful and unexpected. Her studio is an eclectic haven from the typical commercial spaces; like a calm oases in the midst of the chaos. Furnished with a French Country collections of finds and embellished with many beautiful gifts and assorted decor featuring flowers she is truly in her element.
Bliss Fleurs is a floral atelier, workshop and retail space led by Cheri LaVelle. Our studio specializes in producing truly original, innovative floral designs for events, shoots, workplaces and weddings.
